In a significant move aimed at bolstering Kenya’s law enforcement capabilities, President William Ruto has appointed Douglas Kanja as the Inspector General (IG) of Police. His appointment as acting IG underscores the administration’s commitment to enhancing public safety and strengthening the police force.

President Ruto expressed confidence in Kanja’s abilities, stating, “Douglas Kanja has the skills and experience we need to lead the police force well.
