On Tuesday, Members of Parliament cast their votes in response to the impeachment motion against Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. This vote followed extensive debate, during which Gachagua appeared before the National Assembly to defend himself against the accusations raised.

Among those who supported the motion were: Joseph Samal Lomwa, Timothy Wanyonyi, Jackson Kosgei, Samuel Chepkonga, Benjamin Lagat, Marianne Kitany, Samuel Atandi, John Walter Owino, Irene Njoki, Abdi Shurie, and Florence Jematia.
Others who voted in favor include: Joshua Kandie, Joseph Makilap, Charles Kamuren, Nelson Koech, Nolphason Obadiah, Alfah Miruka, Linet Chepkorir, and Richard Cheruiyot.
Additionally, Richard Yegon, Charles Onchoke, Gideon Ochanda, Patrick Osero, Raphael Wanjala, Jack Wamboka, Catherine Wambilianga, Yakub Adow, Kibet Komingoi, Catherine Omanyo, Nicholas Tindi Mwale, Joseph Oyula, Rindikiri Mugambi, Moses Nguchine, Omar Mwinyi Shimbwa, Victor Koech, Paul Byego, Patrick Ntwiga, Farah Maalim, Beatrice Elachi, John Kiarie, and Musa Sirma also voted in favor.
On the opposing side, MPs Innocent Obiri, Mejjadonk Gathiru, James Gakuya, and Julius Mawathe voted against the motion.
Notably absent during the vote were Patrick Simiyu, Babu Owino Ongili, and Mark Mwenje.
